I've never done a GL before either. The character never really interested me so once again I went back to the basics.
I went with the inter-galactic peace-keeper rather than superhero straight out. When not on Earth he doesn't bother with a mask. I made the emblem more of a badge and the doodle on his right side of the chest is his 'badge number'.
